This video introduces the Agroforestry Transition Hub at Dartmouth College, which focuses on education and on-farm research to promote transitions to agroforestry on farms in the Northeast. The project also created two zines, Common Agroforestry Practices and The Benefits of Agroforestry.
Common Agroforestry Practices Zine
This zine describes common agroforestry practices and shows their roots in indigenous agricultural practices. During the SARE project, this publication proved to be very helpful for farmers who had some familiarity with agroforestry, but were not necessarily aware of the many beneficial ways they could use trees on their farms.
The Benefits of Agroforestry Zine
This zine highlights the many benefits of trees and agroforestry practices.
